The November 2016 Powder Magazine features two separate photos that I shot here in Jackson, Wyoming. I shot the first photo early one winter morning while driving to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort to ski and photograph. The light was so dynamic over Grand Teton and the rest of the Teton mountain range that morning. I quickly wrestled my camera out of my backpack to create the photo. Note: photo credit is incorrect.

For the second photo, I was the still photographer traveling around with the movie production company Teton Gravity Research. We were photographing and filming professional free-skier Hadley Hammer. TGR wanted to shoot some footage of Hadley getting heckled by the crowd on the Sublette chairlift. It didn’t take long for many of the skiers riding the lift to take the bait. What is important to note was that my photo was used to illustrate exactly what the film crew was recording. You truly never know how well a photo tells a story until someone else recognizes your intentions.
