autumn | colorado | $995.00 | september 18-20, 2009
Autumn in Colorado is an awe-inspiring time. Leaves turn deep yellow to crimson red. They drop from trees to float in lakes and meander down rivers. Alpine meadow grasses turn deep golden as they prepare to go dormant for the approaching winter. The high alpine peaks begin to collect snow, as the days shorten and the elk and the deer find themselves in peak condition as they prepare for their fall rut. We will explore all of these aspects of nature photography, plus many more as we travel around the valley where Jay has lived for over a decade.
The lecture portion of this workshop will take on a whole new direction as Jay teaches you how to look at nature as not just a pretty place to photograph, but an amazing palette for self-expression. You will learn how to craft images instead of just taking them, and how graphic design, architecture, music, and painting can be tied into image making for even more powerful photography.
The course fee covers all instruction. Accommodations, meals and travel to Colorado are not included. |
